Isle of Man Netball welcomes Santander International as headline sponsor
Isle of Man Netball announces a pivotal 3-year partnership with Santander International to take the popular sport to the next level.
Isle of Man Netball has over 1,000 members and the Manx Rams (Isle of Man senior team) are currently ranked 26th in the world. Netball is the largest female team sport on the Island; from grassroots to international, it is a sport enjoyed by so many in both competitive and fun environments.
Pip Cross, President of Isle of Man Netball, commented: “We recently announced our 3-year strategy to our members with our overarching mission to enable netball to flourish on the Isle of Man at all levels. Santander International’s support is going to greatly assist us with our ambitious plans as we look to grow our sport on and off Island.
“Isle of Man Netball has gone through a significant period of change and growth - we have looked to professionalise our operations in recent years - and this level of sponsorship with a brand of Santander International’s calibre shows our commitment to ensure our fantastic sport continues to thrive. We are incredibly grateful to the team at Santander International, and we very much look forward to working closely with them to celebrate our sport.”
As part of the agreement Isle of Man Netball’s Senior League, 4 divisions of competition, plus a Development division, and played between September and April yearly, will become the Santander International Senior League, and the brand will also feature exclusively on the Manx Rams’ dresses played in all competitive and ranking games.
The company will also have visibility at events Isle of Man Netball is hosting on-island, as well as the opportunity to get involved in volunteering, or even playing netball via the Mixed Business League.
Chris Corkill, Sales Director of the Isle of Man branch for Santander International, said: “Santander International is committed to supporting sporting opportunities for Islanders. This sponsorship opportunity cements our commitment to people’s wellbeing and we are proud to be working alongside Isle of Man Netball to help grow the sport on the Island.”
