Absolute Ramsey 35-9 Thompson 3

Both teams started strongly, with fast passing throughout the court and tight marking in both circles. Despite some great centre court play by Thompson, especially their C, Milly Killeen, and WA, Tegan Horrox, to get the ball down the court to the shooting circle, Gillian King (GK) and Leanne Faragher (GD) for Absolute, were making shooting rather difficult for the Thompson shooters as they marked very tightly. The score at the end of the second quarter was 17 - 2 to Ramsey.

Following some fast centre court play to get the ball down court to Absolutes shooters, Sian Hignett (GS) and Leah Goddard (GA) had some impressive shots in the circle, whilst fighting off some tough defensive play by the Thompson defenders Julia Carrol and Rachel Craig, to convert the goals for the Ramsey team. Absolute continued to dominate the game, and despite some good play by the Thompson team, the Ramsey line up proved too strong and their lead had increased to 25 - 6 by the end of the third quarter.

In the final quarter Ramsey kept the pressure on in all areas of the court, with hats off to Erin Kelly (Absolute C) who had played in a league match for the Absolute Reds right before and then went on to play centre for the entire game, to take the win, 35 - 9.

Everyone played really well, with special thanks to the umpires and scorers for giving up their time to officiate the cup match.
